| bharani October 18, 2005 12:57 PM PDT Mr.yeah, i am sorry about the bad experience that you had. But this post was written by me when i met Guruji for the first time. Ever since, life has changed soooooooooo much for the best !! i have had experiences which i never even realised were existent in me. so i'd humbly say that u shd not just look at it at a superficial level, but actually take a plunge into it...if u get what i mean. all the very best to you. peace. | ||
| yeah April 27, 2005 02:48 AM PDT so called 'art of living' is nothing but fraud - They charge you huuuge amount of fees for courses that offer NOTHING in my opinon - I paid $300 for basic course which was held at someone's cold basement 3 hours a day - for 5 days - no food/or anything for that matter was provided and so called 'teacher' was clueless - | ||
| Rammy December 3, 2003 02:52 PM PST This is a general statement for all those who feel that a course/some lectures are needed to attain mental bliss. 'Bliss' is how you look at life. I for sure don't feel that I need external inspiration to feel happy with myself and my life. I have just 2 simple philosophies and I am really happy with them. (*) Be happy in whatever situation you are in. (It is not as difficult as it sounds believe me) (*) Whatever is happening is happening for the good. (It works, I can guarantee this) | ||
| Bharani December 3, 2003 09:29 AM PST Guru, To escape is the immature stage i feel...to dwell in it and still feel at bliss is enlightenment... But the feeling is similar to what a child feels at the end of exams...the anology is correct with respect to the feeling... | ||
| Bharani December 3, 2003 09:26 AM PST I dont deny that all the Yoga and Japams are effective. But after being thru all those efforts, you will reach a destination called 'humanliness'....thats the goal of all yogas and religions...there is only one language and that is the language of love...and that is what truely enlightened people preach...and that can be realised in many ways...all the best to you... | ||
| S.K December 3, 2003 03:03 AM PST I think I can do better than that! I am trying "Kundalini Yoga" to arouse the serpent and attain the "Sahasra Dhala Padmam"! And I try my hand in serving cause of spotlighting on the enigmatic aspects of Hinduism! Yes, please visit here! (Itz free!): http://www.brahmam.com/portal/index.php?topic=Essays Cheers! | ||
| guru'ni' December 2, 2003 05:47 PM PST To escape is Enlightenment to me ! | ||
| guru'ni' December 2, 2003 05:46 PM PST SK ...chill out and escape ! | ||
| Bharani December 2, 2003 11:06 AM PST S.K, can you please tell me what u mean by 'Enlightenment' ? I can suggest a reading for the kinds of you - Sidhdhartha by Herman Hesse. U can find it online at "http://www.online-literature.com/hesse/siddhartha". Enlightenment can be as simple as being ordinary and human. And believe, if you have tried its the most difficult thing. | ||
| S.K December 2, 2003 10:19 AM PST "Mukthi was analogous to the feeling that a child experiences at the completion of exams" What a bummer!! Do you think your knowledge will get enriched, or, you will get enlightened by such simplistic and insipid analogies? Hinduism is sure to get enriched by such flashes of wisdom! | ||
| Justme December 2, 2003 09:51 AM PST yes, its amazing sometimes the kind of emotions and peace evenings like this invoke, and sometimes even in people who do not believe! also, thanks for dropping by :-) | ||
| Bharani December 2, 2003 09:13 AM PST Well, I'd know about the cost factor only after I enquire about the same. I read that the benefits of the breathing exercises & Sudharshan Kriya have been scientifically researched and proven by the WHO and some other medical organisation. Anyways, if i undertake the course, i shall surely share my experiences out here, including the 'wallet factor' . :-) | ||
| S.K December 2, 2003 02:19 AM PST May the tribe of the RaviShankars of the world grow! 6 "reformed" "militants" were paraded as a sort of an advertisement! What a laugh! And Bharani, you were smart enough to spot the real motives:- <quote>steering the crowd towards adopting the Art of Living course....</quote> And it costs a fortune, and at the end of the day you are what you were before opening your wallet! :-) | ||
| Bharani December 1, 2003 02:52 PM PST Oh!! Where do they get so much sarcasm from ? :)) | ||
