So... to compare it with the life of a goat/sheep. Getting minced and sliced is a way of their life??
This squashing is also an unnatural way of dying.. Ok lets not go overboard with this ;)

rammie, appreciate your optimism...:))

well, i was taking it this way - getting sliced, diced and minced is the normal life & natural death for the tomato...being smashed under the wheels of a bicycle is unnatural death..

anyways, the whole thing is just a figment of the imagination that ran real wild when i watched all this...
and this post is an expression of that unsuppressed imagination...:)

Well, looking at the fate of the other tomatoes.. this one had a better death.
Not minced and diced.. imagine watching a fellow tomato get sliced up and those ear-piercing shrieks driving you up the wall.. the fear that creeps in, rattling those seeds at the centre, knowing that you might be next.
Well this tomato died a valiant death, even if it were under the wheels of a bicycle. It is quite possible that the squashed remains, feed a hungry crow, who carries the seed on to a patch of soil and Lo Behold! a new tree is sown, ready to bear fruit.

Thanks for dropping by my blog.
This story is nice. It shows how valuable such small things are to those underprivilged

Oh! My! GOD! I might sound cynicall and sarcastic, but I actually thought it funny, your telling of the "Death of A Tomato"
Again, (in pure jest, not being sarcy) We could make a great movie out of this. Except there is no scope for Item numbers here.
