| Vinny September 8, 2005 12:57 PM PDT Here is my defination: Fantasy: The impossible happens and is explaned by magic. Sci-Fi: The impossible happens and is explained by science. Either way, it's the impossible happening. I think that characterization and plotting (directing if a movie) are much more important than whether the hero is holding a magic sword or a light saber. What you apreciated in war of the worlds was the expert directing, the building of tension, and the portrayal by the actors. Of course, aliens are secondary to all of that, otherwise Alien v.s Predator would have been a huge hit. | ||
