my favourite raaga is hamsadhwani. Vaathapi ganapathim is the most amazing classical song i have heard. it is so capitvating. you must listen to the version sung my maharajpuram santhanam. it brings tears to my eyes. it is beautiful. it will just make you sink into its magic.

Hi Bharani:
Great article ...I fully agree with you..
I have felt the same way many times listening to some albums by
by Yanni / Steve Halpern/ Pt. Jasraj (Moring Raagas) , 4 seasons composed by Vivaldi, Shravanam by Bombay sisters , although i am not quite familiar with nuances of any type of music

hi bharani,

i haven't , in my whole life read anything better than what you have written in this article. being a musician myself, i have felt and experienced every single thought that you have expressed in this article. Reading this article gives me the same feeling that i get when i am totally drenched in soulful music. there is music in this article of yours and above all i can see that these are words that emerged from the depths of your soul. Great stuff Bharani!!! I really hope and pray that you have a long life filled with happiness and enriched with divine music.

cheers..

Arjun
